Mama Spicy Cheese was a surprisingly delightful bowl of sinful cheese with a little bit of fire thrown in to complete it. I can’t say that I had very high hopes but was shocked to find that these were really good.
Contents
Two sachets with this little cup. Standard Mama three prong fork to play the part of the devil while devouring these fiery noodles.
Noodles
Standard Mama cup noodle puck. I always appreciate the fill line, yeah I’m a lazy slob….rub it in.
Seasoning
The cheese sachet that came with these was very generous considering that this was a noodle cup and not a bowl.
I found the seasoning for these to be really interesting. Specifically the small Cheetos-looking balls. I don’t see anything that resembles ham or crab in here though.
Ruling
I guess when I’m not really expecting greatness is normally when it slaps me in the face. I saw this small noodle cup and combined that with past experiences of Thai noodle attempts at “cheesy” flavor and formed the idea that these would be a disappointment. The combination of cheese and spiciness caught me off guard and I really liked these. They aren’t the spiciest and they aren’t the cheesiest but the combination goes really well together and are balanced well. The interesting cheese ball things didn’t get soggy and turn to mush but, instead floated on the top. They provided a small bit of texture to an already creamy soup. Thank you Mama for your Mama Spicy Cheese.
