When I saw that the noodles in Nissin Chili Noodles Tom Yum Shrimp Soup were actually made with chili peppers and then flavored with Tum Yum I couldn’t wait to dig in. Nissin has a presence in a lot of countries and Thailand is no exception. I can’t wait to try these chili noodles out!
Itsuki Kumamoto Red Hot Spicy Ramen
I’ve had this package of Kumamoto Red Hot Spicy Ramen on my review queue for a while now and have been looking forward to eating them. I love a good bowl of authentic Japanese ramen and as these were a little higher on the cost scale I thought perhaps they might be a slice of Japanese authentic ramen. They are of the long noodle variety which is more common in Japan, so the hope was building.

The packaging is red with Korean soup in a black stone bowl. The soup inside the bowl is kimchi laden and you can see chilies sliced on the top of the soup.
Maruchan Menzukuri Tonkotsu Pork
Maruchan Menzukuri Tonkotsu Pork hails from Japan and is produced by Toyo Suisan. This cup beckoned me and here we are. The packaging says it has 347 kcals and it looked like a pretty plain noodle bowl. The contents thankfully surprised me and changed my opinion. Don’t judge a book by its cover or a ramen by its wrapper, eh?

Nongshim and a few other brands have released their versions of this and I guess it was mostly my imagination jumping to conclusions. On with the review….
